I recently plan to buy a GPS for hiking purpose. After checking and comparing different sub-models of GPSMAP 62 I wonder why 62st only has 500 MB built-in memory but retail price reaches to USD 549.99. Is there something wrong with official spec? Thanks.
问Garmin为啥62st只有500 M可用内部存储,但却卖那么贵,是否官网资料有错?

I will be happy to help you with this. No this is correct the 62ST is more expensive and yet has less internal memory. The reason for this is it has the North America Topo 100K map preloaded to the device and this map is what takes up the memory and increases the price.
Garmin回答是因为预装了北美等高地图的关系。

So, can we say the total built-in memory of 62st is 1.7 GB and topographic map takes about 1.2 GB (the difference of built-in memory between 62s and 62st)?
If what I say is true, why there is no difference between 62sc and 62 stc?
And I also noticed there is marked difference of battery life between 62s and 62sc (20 hours vs 16 hours). I assume it could be attributed to different testing method?
继续问为啥62sc和62stc没有1.2 GB的差别?也问了有无摄像头造成的电池续航差别的问题。

Thank you for contacting Garmin International, I would be happy to continue support. I'm sure a number of factors determined the amount of internal storage available for each device. I am unaware of the exact reasoning. The amount of battery life is contributed to the camera that is present in the 'c' models.
Garmin回答内部存储大小有多个因素决定,但客服不知道确切原因。续航能力的差别简单推给了摄像头,也没有说确切原因。 |
