The Sphynx is a light and durable ice and rock pack. With its traditional top-loading design, the Sphynx holds most everything a party of two could need for climbing. Built from burly 420-denier nylon and Ballistics fabric, the Sphynx is tough yet weighs less than three pounds. A single removable aluminum stay, molded-foam back panel and a cushy waistbelt offer maximum support and comfort. Key features, including ice axe, crampon and rope straps, as well as Ice Clipper slots on the waistbelt, make this pack well suited for all-season climbing.

Y-Rod Our unique Y-Rod aluminum stay, with no welded points, provides support where needed, yet enough flexibility to give total freedom of movement. Cut and bent from aluminum rod stock, the Y-Rod offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than more common aluminum pack stays.
SilNylon Our SilNylon is silicone and PU-coated nylon—a unique material with a high strength-to-weight ratio, water-shedding capability and the ability to self-heal small punctures. SilNylon is used throughout our pack line for its light weight and excellent strength.
Ergo-molded Suspension Ergo-molded foam back panels, waistbelts and shoulder straps are anatomically shaped to eliminate pressure points while transferring the load evenly over areas of contact. Our ergo-molded suspensions allow for a custom-fit feel with excellent support.
Die Cut Hypalon Two-layer Hypalon accessory loops are incredibly durable and streamlined as opposed to the clutter of traditional webbing accessory loops. Grippy and extremely tough, Hypalon is ideal for attaching ice and snow gear to your pack.

The technical Mammut Cervin pack--French for "Matterhorn"--is rugged enough and decked-out enough to climb the alp for which it's named.
Rock-tough Cordura 500 denier upper shell will stand up to years of abuse; 1,000 denier bottom won't give way when the pack takes a hard drop
Sleek design keeps the weight centered on your back for better balance and provides room for arms to move backward during climbs
Two internal stays provide support and can be removed and formed to more closely match the shape of your spine
Non-removable lid buckles to the main pack in front; offers one spacious pouch accessed outside and another, smaller pouch accessed inside
Long front pouch is side zipped and large enough to carry a set of crampons
Spacious main pouch is accessed through the draw-string top or by zipper from the side
Dual compression straps on each side stabilize the load and center the weight toward the center of your back
