元旦在杭州的嘉禾，看到了橱窗里挂了一个新背包，看颜色搭配，是经典的Karrimor风格(红，深灰，浅灰)，但是外形变得圆润，富有现代感，嗯，曲线有点像Osprey...
听店员讲，这个是Karrimor 2006新款，要3月份正式上市。
最大的革新，莫过于其SA2背负系统了，直观的感觉是，铝条隐藏了起来，以及泡棉比较轻薄。很可惜我没有试背，具体SA II的介绍大家可以看下面的Preview。
谈谈包体，呵呵，看到了防水拉链…… 还有，在一些部位使用了较为轻薄的面料。包体方面，最突出的新特性是，在正面设计了一个Y型的拉链，这个Y是倒过来的，2个分叉就是原来的睡袋仓拉链，中间设计了一条贯穿整个背包的拉链，可以非常方便地拿包里的东西。
这3根拉链很结实，但不是防水拉链的，所以在其外面，设计了如同冲锋衣的主拉链一般的折叠保护(也是魔术贴)，个人感觉这个部分厚重了一点，还有一点是这3根拉链承受了很大的压力，但是其Y交汇处，似乎没有固定的设计？会不会自己拉开？(也许有，没有注意)
无论如何，老牌厂商Karrimor在经历了收购风波之后，令人欣喜地推出了2006新款，并给我们带来了许多新设计，直观感受上，更现代和科技感了，在控制重量上也做出了努力，如果其价格依然可以保持在中等偏上的水平，应该是一定的竞争力的。

Karrimor's New Back System

The big news from the resurgent Karrimor brand for spring summer 2006 is a new, heavily modified back system for their big load haulers.
The SA2 II Back System will be appearing on three new packs - the Independence expedition pack, the revised Jaguar - pictured with optional Frisbee hat below - and the new Endurance. There's also a women's specific Jaguar using the same system.
The SA II, like the SA, is an adjustable length back system, but it's a lot more sophisticated and is claimed to provide better stability and security thanks to a design which, in the modern idiom, is designed to channel as much weight as possible directly into the hip-belt.
Length adjustment is still down to sliding pads on aluminium staves, but a cunning new X-Frame - think crossed Delrin poles - channels load directly onto both sides of the hip-belt from the top compression straps downwards.
The hip-belt too has been majorly re-deisgned using what Karrimor calls iliac fins to feed load into the inner hip-belt. They sit outside the normal hip-belt design, but are connected to it.
Finally, at the front of the pack, the top tensioner straps have been redesigned to prevent 'squaring-off' of the shoulder straps when the tensioners are tightened to pull the pack in towards the wearer's back.
It's hard to say how well it will function in practice, but there's obviously a fair amount of thought gone into the new system and we look forward to trying it.
The Rest
The rest of the range is still familiar with classics like the Hots and Alpinistes still in there along with the funky hypalon Boma, though you'll find some minor revisions and restyles as well. |
