I bough two of 'em - one for each hand. They don't get very warm, so the description as "hand warmers" is appropriate, as you've got to be clenching them in your fists to feel anything. The longer you hold them, the better - because the second you stop holding them, the heat's gone, and you have to hold them for awhile to build it up again. I thought that they might do as "pocket warmers", meaning that I could drop them in my pockets and keep them toasty ready for when I put my hands in - but it's not hot enough, and the heat dissipates too quickly. Also, if direct cold hits it, it saps the warmth from it. They're best used as mitten warmers, as long as the mittens have elastic around the wrists to keep the heat in. For those of us who have to use bare hands in the cold, and need quick relief, these aren't a solution. |
