Yes, the pole shafts are equally as strong for trekking as for Nordic
Walking. However, we have great three-section poles for hiking that still
would be better for hiking than the Traveller pole.
I would suggest you use a trekking pole to Nordic Walk with over a Nordic
Walking pole to trek with for safety reasons if you are looking for one pole
to cover both activities.

Subject: RE: Question about LEKI Traveller pole
Dear Bill,
Thanks for your quickly reply. Can I say that if the grip is designed for
force transfer, despite of the grip design, the body strength of Traveller
could be used for trekking support?
Thanks

Subject: RE: Question about LEKI Traveller pole
The Traveller and the Ultralite poles are of the same diameter. The
biggest
difference is the grip. The Nordic Walking pole is meant for propelling
yourself forward and the trek grip is meant to give you support and help
balance.
The Traveller Nordic Walking pole would not be a good suggestion for a
trekking pole.
I hope this helps.

Subject: Question about LEKI Traveller pole
Dear Sir,
I am a user of your LEKI Ultralite Ti Cor-Tec trekking poles. I am very
pleasure with this product. As a result, I am going to buy another pair for
trekking.
However, when I walked into the local store, I am attracted by your LEKI
Traveller nordic walking poles. It is good looking and further light but a
bit slim than Ultralite Ti.
I would like to know what's de deference between the trekking poles and
nordic poles (strength? )? Can I use this Traveller instead of Ultralite Ti
in outdoor activities?
Thanks
Regards
